ABOUT VERDELIA

Flowers, Reimagined.

VERDELIA is a contemporary botanical jewelry brand inspired by the art of Ronghua — a traditional Chinese craft of shaping silk-wrapped wire into delicate flowers.

We bring this floral language into a new context through silk, metal and pearls, creating pieces that sit somewhere between botanical art and contemporary jewelry.

WHY WE CREATE

We believe a craft can evolve.

Ronghua has been practiced in China for centuries, transforming silk and wire into flowers of remarkable delicacy and structure.

We were drawn to the tension within the craft — something incredibly soft, yet built through precision and patience.

We wanted to see where that language could go next.

What if a traditional flower became jewelry?

That question became VERDELIA.

OUR INTERPRETATION

Botanical, not literal.

We don't simply recreate flowers.

We look at the curve of a petal, the structure of a stem, the rhythm of leaves and the way light moves across a natural form.

Then we reinterpret them.

Silk brings softness.

Metal brings structure.

Pearl brings depth and luminance.

The result is a collection of wearable botanical forms designed for modern life.

OUR CRAFT

More than one way to make a flower.

VERDELIA explores different forms of handwork to transform botanical forms into jewelry — from the traditional art of Ronghua to hand-shaped metal wire, weaving, and other textile-inspired techniques.

Each technique offers a different way of expressing nature.

What connects them is not a single material or method, but the belief that handmade processes can create forms that feel alive.

MADE TO BE WORN

A flower can belong at a wedding, on a journey, at dinner, as a gift — or simply on an ordinary day.

We don't believe jewelry needs a special occasion to become meaningful.

VERDELIA is made for the moments in between.

A CRAFT, CARRIED FORWARD

Ronghua has begun to find new expressions within contemporary international fashion. Dior's Summer 2024 men's collection, for example, featured velvet flowers created by Chinese craft masters working with the Dior Ateliers.

For us, this represents something simple:

Traditional craft does not have to remain in the past.

VERDELIA continues that conversation through botanical jewelry.
